Sandblasting or also known as abrasive blasting is a surface treatment process that uses compressed air to propel abrasive particles (such as sand, glass beads, or other materials) at high velocity to clean, deburr, or etch a surface.
Please note nippers or any other instruments do not come with a warranty and stainless steel instruments are always prone to spotting, staining and corrosion, hence the name stainless not stainproof. German steel is more corrosion resistant due to its high chromium levels but still not stainproof!
Autoclaving with poor quality steam that contains magnesium and calcium from poor quality deionised or distilled water or the use of chemicals or normal tap water and soaps during sterilisation processes as well as mixing instruments of different metal types in ultrasonic cleaning and autoclaving. Any corrosion or rust like appearance should be wipeable and removeable and in some instances may require additional instrument cleaning products.
